At Beltane we celebrate fertility, union, and unfolding creation. Add the New Moon in Taurus and the energy of its ruling planet, Venus, and you get a double-dose of sensuality and abundance, firmly grounded in stability and self-care.

During this event, we’ll be working with Venus to assist us in connecting with our sensual self, facilitating an alchemical marriage of our inner goddess and god, and opening the door for love, pleasure, and beauty in our lives.

What to Bring

📓 Pen and paper
Part of our ritual will include a time for reflection and writing.

🪞 Hand mirror
A real hand mirror is best if you have one. But if not, a cell phone on selfie-view will suffice.

💋 Flavored lipgloss — Choose something yummy in a gloss (not a balm!). Something you would wear on a hot date. If you don’t have one, buy one! (I haven’t had lip gloss since I was a teenager, so I will be purchasing something berry, cotton-candy, or similar from the dollar store.)

 A sensual candle
Choose something you would burn for a sexy date night rendezvous (with yourself or with your ideal mate). For example, I will be choosing sandalwood or vanilla or similar.

Want to double your candle mojo? Consider a color that represents love, sensuality, deep emotions, harmony, and abundance. (Be creative! For example, for those of us that have experienced sexual trauma, the color might be white or cream for innocence as we reclaim our innocence and the joy of a healthy, unencumbered Maiden self.❣️)

Don’t have an appropriate candle? Incense would be an appropriate substitute using the same selection process.

 A body oil of your choosing — NOT an essential oil!!! The oil you choose must already be blended so that you can use it on your skin either as a drop or a roll-on.

💮 Herbs, oils, or copper as an offering to Venus or as an aid in your connection with her (optional)
Consider rose, myrtle, lavender, damiana, thyme, jasmine or apple blossom, vanilla, ylang-ylang, or copper.
